Does anyone have any poetry books they would suggest in order to improve section 1 poetry questions?

Hi, any anthology books on poetry is usually a good choice. You may also want to read through the suggestions and advice we provided in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1916

Usually, a unit involving poetry in Section 1 would have 3 to 4 poems talking about a common subject. So one of the most important skills that you can develop when approaching these types of questions would be quickly identifying the common theme, then determining the sentiment of each poem. For example, if they all talk about mortality, which poem sees mortality in a positive light, which one defies it, etc. Try to look at the words each poem use to express these views.
