With regards to the GAMSAT level MCQs available online with this chapter. Could you explain question 9 please? I didn't find the explanation on the website very clear.

The graph, as shown is the forward reaction. It goes from reactants on the left to products on the right. We can see that it is endothermic: the curve starts at +20 and ends at +40 so delta H is the difference: +20.

The activation energy goes from the start of the curve at +20 to the peak at +80 so that is +60, thus the answer is D.

A catalyzed reaction is the lower curve.

A 'reverse' reaction is the entire curve but in the reverse direction.

The best and most detailed explanation is the "Potential Energy Diagrams" video on (it's in Chapter 9, Lessons General Chemistry; and also the same video is on the Videos page).
